TRIP PAYMENT AND BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions govern the booking, payment, cancellation, and refund policies for our tours. By making a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Deposit and Payment Policy

• To confirm your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total trip price is required at the time of booking. This deposit excludes the cost of Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking permits.
• The remaining balance of the total trip cost must be paid in full at least 60 days prior to the tour commencement date.
• All tour prices are quoted and payable in US Dollars (USD).

1. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• If a written cancellation notice is received more than 60 days before the tour start date, 75% of the deposit will be refunded.
• If a written cancellation notice is received between 59 to 40 days before the tour start date, 40% of the deposit will be refunded.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour start date.
• No refunds will be provided for any unused services or for tour members who fail to show up.
• We strongly recommend that clients purchase trip cancellation insurance to protect their investment against unforeseen circumstances.

GORILLA AND CHIMPANZEE TREKKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Permit Purchase and Availability

• Permits for Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking in designated National Parks are only purchased after full payment has been received.
• All permits are subject to availability, and clients are advised to make payments as early as possible to secure their spots.

1. Trekking Guarantee and Liability

• Holding a Gorilla or Chimpanzee trekking permit does not guarantee sightings of Mountain Gorillas or Chimpanzees.
• Natural conditions or unforeseen circumstances may lead to restricted access to the trekking areas at short notice.
• We shall not be held liable for cancellations due to:
• National Park or border closures
• Absence of Gorillas or Chimpanzees
• Changes in security conditions
• Any refund for Gorilla or Chimpanzee trekking cancellations is at the sole discretion of the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). We will make every effort to obtain a refund on behalf of the client, and if a refund is granted, it will be passed on to the client.

1. Trekking Success Rate

• The likelihood of encountering Gorillas or Chimpanzees during the trek is estimated at 98%.
