His birding passion hails since his childhood, during his lower level school times, he used to read books about birding and doing practice in the holidays which made him decided to make it a career as a guide specialized in bird watching and working as a site guide in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Albertine Rift endemics area.

David R6. August, 2025Verified Best Birding trip ever Wide Birding has been super professional from the preparation (very proactive, quick direct answers, adapted tour and price).Once there it was a permanent enchantment on the birds watched, the places. Davis has always a bottle of water ready or other attention. He is very outgoing so knows everyone, always get you the best seats on boats, visits... The guide that other travelers envy you.The lodge were very nice always with something special, a view over the valley, a garden full of birds, the vicinity to a swamp, a service or team, a very good cuisine... that really made you love the place. That's a great value for money.Davis has so many secrets of where to find the dream bird you want. A special owl, a kingfisher?I loved my trip to Uganda and I can't wait to set up a new trip to Uganda, Kenya or Tanzania.Thank you.David Nicolas X1. July, 2025Verified Fantastic Birding Experience I just finished a 7 days trips in Uganda with Wide Birding Ecotours. It was a fantastic experience. My two guides Deo and Robert showed me hundreds of species in a short time including Shoebill, most of the Albertine endemics and many other rare birds. Both of them are real experts who know where the birds are, know all the calls and always made sure I had time to see the birds well and take a picture. The accommodations were of good quality and the 4*4 comfortable. So if you want a successful birding trip in Uganda do not hesitate and contact them ! Trip4360239574422. February, 2025Verified Birding and Wildlife in Eastern Uganda Davis was an excellent guide and driver. His birding experience is why we chose his tour and we never would have seen so many of the endemic birds without his keen experience. Besides that, he is a truly funny and amiable guy! Jonathan N4. February, 2025Verified Amazing trip My 14 yr old son and I had an unforgettable trip with Davis and Wide Birding Eco Tours. We went for about 15 days. I could write a ton of great things but I will focus on more brief bullet points that I think apply to birders like me trying to decide on the right guide.* Davis did a great job looking out for us, making us comfortable, making sure we got what we wanted out of the experience. English is taught in Ugandan schools so he obviously spoke great English, and we really didn't have any issues communicating throughout the trip. I wasn't expecting that.* He is very knowledgeable of locations throughout Rwanda and Uganda. Plus, you could tell he had strong local relationships every where we went which I could tell helped improve the experience. He also brought in very knowledgeable local guides at key times which made the experience even better.* Davis himself is an excellent, expert birder, both by sight and sound. He has been birding since his youth. Plus he's not only good at it but clearly loved it, and surrounded us with other guides who loved birding as well.* He chose very comfortable lodges with good food. * Birding was our priority but we wanted to keep on the lookout for other animals and he did a great job incorporating that. We saw the Big 5 and plenty more. He knew his mammals really well too.It was an amazing trip and we are very grateful for Davis and Wide Birding Eco Tours! Gerald F3. November, 2024Verified Superb 2-week birding safari in western Uganda I traveled with Davis in western Uganda in January 2024 on a one-on-one journey. I had a fantastic time that exceeded my expectations. Davis is an extremely knowledgeable bird guide. He is friendly, easy to talk to, and feeds off the enthusiasm of those he’s traveling with. He knows all the logistics for putting on a comfortable trip that is also as ambitious as I wanted it to be. He built a great itinerary with flexibility built in to adapt to changing weather and my interests. I look forward to another trip with my friend Davis. He knows how to make things happen for birders visiting Uganda and neighboring countries, at great value, and does it all with Ugandan warmth and style. Mieczyslaw K31. October, 2024Verified Birding tour in Uganda Davis is very familiar with birding and the area where he operates. I traveled with him already two times. I’ve had thoroughly organized, completely trouble free trips with a highly knowledgeable and personable guide, I would highly recommend him for your trip to Uganda. Mietek Kuzma Holger W27. October, 2024Verified Excellent second tour with Davis another excellent second tour with Davis In September 2024 we travelled to Uganda for the third time. After we had an excellent guide with Davis Kibuga in 2023, he was again the first guide this year. Wahl. We were welcomed back at the airport in Entebbe friendly. As we arrived late we were taken to a lodge near the airport. His vehicle was back in exelent condition, it now had a cooler for the drinks and a professional charging station to charge batteries. Davis had brought us an excellent sighting luck. This time we had come very close to the chimpanzees in Kibale NP. We were also very lucky with the "golden Monkeys". Further we discovered the tree climbing lions on a tree in the Ishasha sector. Completely new to animals were the chameleons near the Bwindi NP. All our sighting dreams have come true. Davis is very flexible, he tries to fulfill all wishes. The accommodations were again on a very high Nivau and their food was delicious. We had a very eventful 12 days with him in Uganda. We felt very safe at all times. He is also an exelent driver. We highly recommend Davis Kibuga for your trip to Uganda or Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania. His English language and knowledge of nature and wildlife is outstanding. In September 2024 we traveled to Uganda for the third time. October, 2024Verified Uganda Birding I went to Uganda on a birding trip with my partner and another friend. Our guide for the whole trip was Davis who was absolutely outstanding. We missed our first day due to a plane problem in London but Davis rescheduled the trip at short notice to suit our best needs. The quality of our experience as far as finding as many different bird species in our 6 days was unbeatable and we also fitted in a Mountain Gorilla trek too. Davis is a faultless guide with incredible skills and I would totally recommend him to my friends. Top class. Matthew S12. October, 2024Verified Great wildlife watching around Uganda Davis was an absolutely brilliant guide. We were travelling during covid in 2021. There were few tourists about. Davis organised the whole itinerary, route and accommodation. All perfect. In addition to travel around the country for some work, we did loads of birding and wildlife watching. Davis guided this with great skill and professionalism. We saw close to 500 species of birds as well as amazing mammal life including of course chimpanzees and gorillas. Charlie8. October, 2024Verified Very good, very knowledgeable, well organised I recently finished a 16 day private tour birding in Uganda with Wide Birding Eco Tours with guide Alex Gabiito. Alex has been a bird guide for 15 years and knew where to find all the birds. I saw 416 bird species in total as well as other fascinating wild life including gorillas and Tree Lions. Seeing Murchison Falls was also a non-birding highlight for me. The trip was well organised, with local site guides included in many locations together with boat trips. I was paying for the more basic accommodation but it seemed more like mid range standard to me and I had no complaints with it. The food was better than I had anticipated. Uganda is a beautiful country, has abundant wildlife and lacks the tourist crowds of other countries like Kenya, Botswana and South Africa. This leads to a more personal experience. Also, due to it's presence on a a plateau, the climate of the country is very pleasant and comfortable unlike other 'hot' climate countries
